State Police Amity - DWI accident leads to several charges
On Thursday, December 13, 2012, NY State Police Amity responded to and
investigated a one car serious personal injury auto accident on CR-2 in
the town of Almond, NY.
As a result of the investigation, Brooke E.
Jackson, 21, of Andover, NY was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated,
Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Motor Vehicle in the 1st degree, Vehicular Assault in the 2nd
degree and several other Vehicle and Traffic infractions.
Jackson's
passenger, Joseph J. Billings, 32, of Almond, NY was transported to
Strong Memorial Hospital via helicopter where he was treated and later
released. Jackson transported to St James Hospital where she was
treated for minor injuries and turned over to the State Police.
Jackson
was processed and arraigned before the Town of Burns Court and remanded
to the Allegany County Jail in lieu of $10,000 bail. A return court
date was set for December 17, 2012 at 5:00 pm at the Town of Almond
Court.
