New Website Boosts Government Accountability, Transparency

Working to make government more accountable to the citizens of Pennsylvania, the new Pennsylvania Web Accountability, Transparency and Contract Hub (PennWATCH) website was officially launched last week. Established by Act 18 of 2011, the site has all departmental and agency budget expenditures available online, including expenditure and revenue information; performance measures; agency websites; relevant employee data; and compensation information. Any information made available on PennWATCH for a given fiscal year must remain on the site for a period of at least eight years.

 Check it out here.

197th Session of the General Assembly Begins Jan. 1

Lawmakers from across the Commonwealth will be at the state Capitol on New Year’s Day to be sworn into office for the 197th session of the General Assembly. The state Constitution requires the General Assembly to meet at noon on the first Tuesday of January of each year, and this year just happens to fall on the holiday. If you get tired of watching football that day, feel free to log on to www.RepCauser.com to watch the ceremony.

I look forward to the opportunity to serve the people of Cameron, McKean and Potter counties in 2013 and wish you a happy and healthy new year!

Yellow Dot Program Packets Available at My Offices

Take steps to protect yourself in the event of a vehicle accident by participating in the state’s Yellow Dot program. The program was first brought to the Bradford area earlier this year by the Bradford Area High School SALSA Club. It was recently launched statewide by PennDOT. Click here to learn more about this initiative that helps provide first responders with key information about you that could help save your life.

Yellow Dot packets are available for pick-up at my offices in Bradford, 78 Main St., first floor, or Coudersport, 107 S. Main St., Room 1. Stop by and take advantage of this public safety initiative.
