Galeton Business and Professional Women Announce 2012 Christmas Holiday Raffle Winners

2012 Christmas Holiday Raffle Winners

Galeton Business and Professional Women held their annual Christmas dinner last night at the beautiful Oak Hall Bed and Breakfast in Ulysses. After enjoying a delicious dish-to-pass supper, names were drawn for this year’s Christmas Holiday raffle as well as for two ceramic cookie jars.

 Proceeds from these drawings are going towards the BPW’s Education Fund which provides scholarship money for Galeton Senior girls as well as money for various community projects such as the Children’s Reading program at the Galeton Public Library.

This year’s Christmas Holiday Raffle winners are: 1st prize- a $100. gift card from Nittany Minit Mart went to Alice Prouty; 2nd prize -a $100. gift card from Wal-Mart went to Brandy Mitchell; 3rd prize- a $100. gift card from Cabela’s went to John Althouse; 4th prize- a $25. gift certificate to the Log Cabin Restaurant went to Ushi Robbins; 5th prize -a Mary Kay Bath Spa Gift Basket provided by Mary Kay Representative Nancy Bradley went to Debbie Traub; 

6th prize was a gift basket from Starlight Video which went to Darlene Jackson; 7th prize was a $25 gift certificate from Lakeview Cinema; 8th prize was a large white and silver Christmas Wreath that went to Ginny Mainus; 9th prize was a red tinsel Christmas Wreath that went to Mary Campbell; 10th prize- a gold leaf Christmas Wreath which went to Liz Slingerland. The white ceramic Santa cookie jar went to Adrian Fritzinger and the ceramic Snowman cookie jar went to Marsylvia Weaver. Both cookies jars were filled with home- made cookies and treats

Galeton Business and Professional Women would like to thank all the merchants and businesses who donated prizes for the raffle and also to thank all those who sold and purchased tickets this year to help with our educational efforts. 

BPW is open to any area women who are interested in promoting the equality of women in the workplace and home environments. Galeton BPW meets the 4th Monday of the month at the Gale Hose Ambulance Building except for July and December. Anyone interested in joining or attending a meeting should call Barbara Welfling at (814) 435-6616.
