Harrison Valley Woman Hurt In Phoenix Run Road Crash

A Harrison Valley woman was transported to Robert Packer Hospital with what police described as moderate injuries on Wednesday after a 2:00 PM crash on Phoenix Run Road at it's intersection with Parker Hill Road.

Ruth M. Kinchen, 51, of Harrison Valley, PA, was apparently flown to the Sayre, PA hospital by Guthrie Air helicopter.

Clarence A. Bush III, 52,  of Sabinsville, PA, was driving a 1994 Ford Ranger northbound on Phoenix Run Road in Hector Township. Kinchen was driving a 1997 Dodge Grand Caravan southbound.

According to Trooper Kocher who investigated, Bush began to turn in front of Kinchen and impacted the front of the vehicles. After impact, Kinchen's van glanced off of Bush's pickup and left the west edge of the roadway where it impacted an embankment and culvert opening before coming to rest. The Ranger came to rest on the roadway. Both drivers were wearing seatbelts.

Trooper Kocher said Galeton kFire Rescue, Galeton Ambulances, Medic 6, and Guthrie Air assisted.

The vehicles were towed by Gaines Garage.
