Cole Memorial Dentistry

A Rabies Clinic will be held Saturday, August 26th from 1:00 to 4:00 pm at the Ulysses Tri-Town Firehall. All dogs, cats, and ferrets that are at least 12 weeks old can be vaccinated against the rabies virus. The first time a dog or cat receives a vaccine, it is good for one year. Each time after that, the vaccination is good for three years. Ferrets must be vaccinated annually. All animals attending the clinic must be on a leash or in a container. Cost is $5.00 per animal. The clinic is sponsored by Dr. Lindsay Schwartzmeyer of the Potter County Veterinary Clinic, LLC.

Icy Road Contributes To Crash On Rt. 872 Thursday

An Austin man was not hurt on Thursday when his 1997 Ford Taurus slid on icy roads and came to rest in a culvert off Route 872, 3/4 miles north of Odin Road in Keating Township, Potter County.

Wesley Thomas Clark, 18, of 1067 Bark Shanty Road, Austin, PA, was driving northbound on Rt. 872 at 6:44 PM on Thursday when he encountered extremely icy road conditions. Ehen he applied his brakes, the car began ato slide, and Clark was unable to regain control.  HIs car slid across the northbound lane and exited the east side of the roadway where it came to rest within a culvert. The car sustained disabling damage to it's passenger side rear tire.

Trooper Chad E. Savannah said Clark was wearing his seatbelt. He will not be charged due to the extremely icy road conditions.
