Joseph Leon Cherry, 77, of Genesee, Pa

Joseph Leon Cherry, 77, of Genesee, Pa., passed away Friday (Nov. 30, 2012). 

Mr. Cherry was born on May 5, 1935, in Medina, to Leon and Hazel Oliver Cherry. 

Joe worked many years for General Motors in Lockport. 

Joe was an avid gun collector, hunter and fisherman. He loved his time spent in the outdoors. He was a life member of the National Rifle Association 

He is survived by three daughters, Sandra Cherry of Richmond, Va., Angela (Sean) Cherry-McNamara of Swannanoa, N.C., and Deborah (David) Cherry of Vero Beach, Fla.; three sisters, Judy Cherry and Rose Cherry, both of Daytona, Fla., and Margaret Cherry of Springfield, Ohio; three brothers, David (Lori) Cherry of Medina, Roger “Gator” Cherry of Daytona and Dickie Cherry of Middleport. 

He was preceded in death by two daughters, Rose Marie Cherry and Sherry Cherry; and a son, Michael Cherry. 

There will be no prior visitation. A memorial service will be held by the family at a later date.
