Living Nativity At First Baptist Church Of Roulette

Living Nativity At
First Baptist Church Of Roulette

The Youth Group, Crusader Club and volunteers from the First Baptist Church of Roulette will be presenting a Living Nativity this Friday and Saturday, December 21 and 22, from 6-8 pm each evening. It will be a drive through (or walk through) theater with three life scenes of the First Christmas. (at least our interpretation of them). It will be held at the Baptist Church on Main Street in Roulette.

The first scene will be of the angels announcing to the shepherds the glad tidings of Jesus' birth. There will be real sheep and live people to be angels and shepherds. The Biblical narrative will be read over a PA system and real singers will interject Christmas carols.

The second scene will be the actual Nativity at the stable. All the real life animals will be there- donkeys, goats, sheep, mules, cows, horses and chickens. A real Mary, Joseph, inn keeper and shepherds will be there as well. The Biblical story will be heard here along with some more Christmas songs.

As you continue the drive (or walk) around the church, you will come to scene three. This is where the wise men see the star and bring their gifts to the newborn King. A real Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus will be here. We are hoping to have real camels, but that’s not finalized yet. Again, the Biblical narrative will be heard along with more music to match.

Animals may be petted and pictures or videos may be taken.
There will be no admission, but any donations will be used for the Youth Work.

There will be free hot chocolate and helpful literature.

Come see a re-enactment of the very first Christmas!
