Milford Adam Brougham, Jr., 77, of Smethport, PA
Milford Adam Brougham, Jr., 77, of Smethport, died Thursday (December 6, 2012) in the Charles Cole Memorial Hospital, Coudersport.
He was born April 23, 1935 in Smethport, a son of Milford A. and Ethel Irons Brougham, Sr., On May 8, 1965, in Bradford, PA he married Peggy Kenneson, who survives.
Mr. Brougham was a graduate of Smethport High School.
He was a SP-3 in the U.S. Army, serving from 1955 to 1958.
Mr. Brougham was an Operator, employed by Quaker State Oil Refinery; Farmers Valley, PA, retiring in 2002.
He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church of Smethport where he was a lay reader.
He was a member of the McKean Lodge #388, F&AM of Smethport and the Coudersport Consistory. He belonged to the “Manhattan 4 Barbershop Quartette” and the “Mountain Laurel Harmonizers”. He also volunteered as a driver for Meals on Wheels and was a landlord for several properties.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by
Three daughters: Tina Brougham of Smethport, PA, Patricia Brougham of Clarksburg, WVA, Debra (Joseph) Lathrop of Reading, PA
Two sons: Steven (Anne) Brougham of Bradford, PA, David Gallup of Westline, PA
11 Grandchildren: Tahlisa, Lyntana and Zethan Brougham, Angela (Matthew) Brown, Danny James Cosper Jr., Anna Mary (Lacy) Bullers Stewart, William Michael Bullers, Crystal Lynn Bullers Trenton, Colby and Landen Gallup
5 Great Grandchildren: Ryan Burdick, Katelyn and Adam Carpender, Makayla and Cameron Daub
Three sisters: Edna Newton of Hamburg, NY, Anita Byers of Meadville , PA, Susan (Charles) Jurenko of Olean, NY
One brother: William (Elaine) Brougham of El Cajon, CA
He was preceded in death by his parents.
There will be no visitation. A Memorial service will be held Saturday, December 8 at 11:00 am from St. Luke's Episcopal Church, Smethport, with the Rev. Stacy Fussell, Rector of the Church of the Ascension, Bradford, PA, officiating.
