Morris Dispatched For Small Plane Crash

At 2:20 PM on Sunday, Morris Fire Department had been dispatched mutual aid to a crash of a small plane at a location just north of the Black Forest Inn.  At 2:56 PM, reports from the scene indicate EMS is in the process of extricating the victim from the plane. Life Flight helicopter has arrived at a nearby landing zone.

Plane crash, Brown Township, Lycoming County -  Rt. 44 at Tiadaghton Trail.

Stations 18 (Haneyville, Clinton Co.) called to set up landing zone at Black Forest.  Station 26 (Kettle Creek, Potter Co.) called for a tanker.

***BREAKING NEWS*** A plane crash was reported a short time ago in the Tiadaghton State Forest. Initial emergency reports one person was trapped under the wreckage. The plane's tail number is apparently registered to a Newark, Del. company. Radar information indicates the single-engine plane was coming from Franklin, Mich. Check back for updates/mh.
