My thoughts and prayers to all the families involed.

Thoughts and prayers to all involved. Now is the time to reflect on the TRUE meaning of CHRISTmas as we enter the holiday season.

Stop putting these acts out in the media!!! Copy cats are everywhere!!! Let the families mourn in private. They do not need to relive it every time the news comes on!!! Don't give other goof balls any ideas!!!

This is one of the most saddest days. Many prayers to all the families. I'm so sorry for the pain. They say time helps, I can image how. Know there are others all over the world with you all in our hearts and prayers. May god bless us all.

I think it's a good idea to put these tragedys out. Then maybe people won't be so dam quick to pity this son of a bitch and people like him.

Ban schools!

Before all you whack jobs spout off with the "ban guns" crap, you need to understand how ignorant you sound. A gun has never pulled its own trigger. EVER!!! 121 people die every day in America in car accidents. I think we should ban cars so we can save those lives. Thats how much sense you make. This is all such a tragedy and a damn shame that it happened. But we need to look at the bigger picture. My 10 year old son goes to school in wellsboro (small town America) and even there the security is very strong. You can never say for sure but I would highly doubt this could happen there. There are 3 doors coming into the school that are locked and secured at ALL times. There is no just walking in or out as you please. They cannot carry back packs in school there. I actually bitched about that at first because its hard for a kid with 5 minutes between classes to get to his locker and to class prepared. But I now understand why they do this. I dont know, it just seems so simple to me if schools are willing to put in a little more effort things like this can be prevented. And it has nothing to do with taking away guns or anything else. May peace be with these families in such a terrible time. God bless

Just think if the first teacher in the school had a gun. Would never have been so bad. Maybe 1 casualty

It means NOTHING to your "president" to send drone strikes to school zones in foreign countries that kill dozens. Including many many children on a daily basis. But now he gets tears in his eyes about this. Dont get me wrong, its a terrible tragedy. But I am sick of him acting like he gives a shit. A drone is a WMD and he uses them at will if you dont agree with him. This administration needs to go

2:33 post, It's not the fault of the media that sick people do sick things. Evil will find a way to show itself. The media is also a way for people to show their support. The world is mourning the loss of innocent lives. The internet, television and social media give those who are hurting a means to express their compassion and love. Let's not stop doing that.

6:33 - You are the only one bringing the "gun bans" into the conversation. So who's the whack job here ? Can we just grieve the loss of innocent lives for one day without hearing about it ?

@ 8:07 ~ Really ?
That's what you took the time to say ? You hate the president, so let's blame this on him ? Oh boy, you really need to get a life. Isn't there some political forum you can hang out at to talk your nonsense ? How pathetic.

Bet your a christian arent you? Im not blaming this on him. Im just saying that he kills people every day. He sends teenagers to fight and die in his warrantless unconstitutional wars but thats all ok. He wipes out entire villages because there might be a terrorist there and gets the nobel peace prize...I am only saying he can hold his fake tears now. He dont have to get YOUR vote anymore

As he read a speach written by his secretary on the telepromptor and wipes his EYEBROWS....

Such anger and hate.

And we wonder why our society is plagued with tragedies.

When will you all learn to stop hating each other?

Your fear of others, fear of political opponents, fear of people who might threaten to take your rights... fear leads to all this anger.

Many of you actually hate your political opponents, your own President, your neighbors... and you wonder why such hate permeates our society.

Let's remember this is supposed to be the home of the brave. Put away all the anger and fear.

Sympathize and mourn for those hurt by this tragedy. Try to make tomorrow the day we stop lashing out at each other for every little thing.

Life is short and fleeting, we need to live with each other on this planet, not in spite of each other.

From the reports I read the school doors are locked in the day. It is hard to tell people not talk about ways to prevent this kind of thing. I think taking a hard look at prevention is the necessary response.

When you walk up to the school is the glass the receptionist sits behind bulletproof? If not it probably should be.

The other glass doors probably don't need to be bulletproof but they can contain a few steel cross bars that makes it hard to just break the glass to come through it.

A lot of schools already have them but there could be a metal detector in the entryway but the catch is if someone is sitting at it they probably shouldn't have access to open the door because they can be too easily be held at gunpoint to do it. The person behind the bulletproof glass decides who comes in the door, nobody else.

You can read a metal detector from behind the glass.

Next we probably can't afford to have a large police force at our rural schools but that doesn't mean nobody at the school should have access to weapons in an emergency.

A couple of fire arms should be carefully locked at the school and a couple of teachers who pass required training should be given access to them in case of emergency. They would not be full time security guards but the community could afford a small stipend for their pay to be designated as emergency response.

I am not sure if it was the recent shooting we had at the church or the fact that these were kindergartners in a quiet community but this one hits uncomfortably close to home for me.

One, I hope you people realize that probably no one from Connecticut is reading Solomon's words so you all are just wasting your time wishing them well.

Second, for the Obama argument, would you people please just give up on yelling at each other about voting or not voting. News flash! We are not one of the states that actually elect the president. The electors from pa knew they were voting democrat last year.

Third. There is a big difference between some middle eastern country and our homeland. I will be hopping on a plane next January to head to Afghanistan and I could care less if the country is peaceful or a parking lot.

You couldn't care if an entire nation is peaceful or a parking lot??

And we wonder where the detached hate and anger in our youth comes from.

We aren't a Christian nation. Christ would not know us.

We have no compassion for our fellow man, no sympathy and no love. All we see are enemies to be attacked, at home and abroad. All we live for is greed. And we make no differentiation between innocents anymore unless they are ours.

Do not judge.
Love thy enemy.
Give until it hurts.
Turn the other cheek.
Due unto others.

If we started living those words, we might start seeing less of these tragedies.
