Orchestra Shocked Over Shooting/Eldred Not Talking To Police

Gregory Eldred and Darlene Sitler came to town many times when the Wellsville Performing Arts Orchestra met.

“They were longtime performers with our group. They traveled to Wellsville from Coudersport (Pa.) for many rehearsals and many concerts over the years,” WPAO member Carol English recalled Tuesday afternoon. “We had the utmost respect for both of them.”

The events of Sunday have left orchestra members, among others, in shock, English said. Eldred, 52, faces first-degree murder and other charges for allegedly fatally shooting Sitler, 53, during a service at First United Presbyterian Church in Coudersport. He has been jailed in lieu of bail.

Police say Eldred not talking to police. Read more

Unfortunately they have to use the word "Allegedly" or they can get sued for slander stating it as a fact. Because in our judicial system everyone is innocent until proven guilty even if you have witnesses etc and if the person enters a plea of not guilty. Which seems ludicrous that they would be allowed to when they do have witnesses. But...witnesses have been known to fabricate a lie thus leaving a person who is genuinely innocent as being guilty.

BULL, what does he need to say? They have how many witnesses? 100? 200? He'll sit in jail for how long? Psych evaluation, possible trial, how much will it all cost? Save Taxpayers money & fry the BASTARD NOW!

Best thing he could have done was turned the gun on himself
