The Potter County Holstein Club recently held their annual banquet and meeting. The dinner was held in the Ulysses Community building and was attended by approximately 75 people. 

Donald Thompson, president, conducted the annual meeting. Three directors were elected, Donald Thompson, Leon Tice and Philip Bachman. Other directors include, Jim Currier, Candy Cooney, Rhoda Lent, John Turton, Adam Martin and Phil Lehman.

Dennis Smoker of Genesee, PA, received the Lifetime Achievement Award. His family dairy farm, Allegen, received numerous awards throughout the years that they milked Holstein cattle. Dennis was a 4-H leader for several years and coached the dairy judging team. He had served as president of the local Holstein club in the 1970s. Dennis was presented the award from Mark Bachman who was one of the members of the judging team.

Potter Pride Awards were presented to Rylie Hoffman and Hannah Bachman. Candy Cooney gave a report on the state activities which included the upcoming 100th anniversary of the Pennsylvania Holstein Association. Several activities are planned for next year's celebration.
