Amy, thank you for sharing this. It is exactly the point of view that needs to be heard ! THIS is the issue that needs to be addressed. I sure hope the powers that be wake up and take action ! AMEN !!!

Unless you have raised a child who is "different" in the eyes of the world, you have no idea what it is like to raise one. This young man, who hurt so many innocent children, probably didnt have a lot of friends. And, I would guess, at 24 yrs old, didn't have a meaningful job,and was dependent on his mom for support.He was probably told he was stupid, dumb and strange in school. He probably lacked social skills. I have also heard the word "impulsive" for many children claimed to be ADD,ADHD, and autistic. These kids dont stand a chance in the grown up world. No healthcare(because they have no job), no chance of a life sustaining job, no car, no friends, no "life". These kids need help, and no one wants to provide it. I believe you will see more stories like this.
many moons ago,these "different people" were allowed to work at jobs they could perform with their dissabilaty for some kind of pay.Today they are not allowed to for their "safety"...so we give them "Medicine that may or may not cause suicidal thoughts,agressive behavior,and everything else it may cause.
