Reecie A. Davidson, 83, formerly of Bradford and Harrisburg, PA

Reecie A. Davidson, 83, formerly of Bradford and Harrisburg, passed away, Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at The Pavilion at BRMC.

Born December 16, 1929, in Clarington, PA, she was the daughter of the late Forrest and Mary M. (McAdoo) Huff.

In 1951 she married Donald Shearer who died in 1971, then in 1980 she married Bill Davidson who died in 2011.

She attended the First Presbyterian Church.

Mrs. Davidson graduated from Harrisburg High School and from the Poly Clinic in Harrisburg as a Registered Nurse. She worked in the Poly Clinic in Harrisburg, then moved to San Diego in 1950 and worked at the Naval Hospital. She returned to the Harrisburg area and worked as a staff nurse for various doctors, and prior to her retirement she was a nurse at the State Capital in Harrisburg.

Surviving are two sons Ralph (Rebecca) W. Bailey, of Bradford and Douglas E. Shearer, of Ashville, NC, several grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

At the family's request there will be no visitation. Family will be gathered at 1 PM, Sunday December 30, 2012 in the chapel of the First Presbyterian Church for a memorial service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc.
