Reflective House Numbers Being Sold
Emergency
service providers from across Potter County have launched a special
fundraiser that could have a major return on investment. They’re selling
reflective address signs that mark a property’s official 9-1-1 address
for firefighters and life support services.“Fog, rain and snow or other adverse weather, as well as the cover of darkness, can make it difficult or even impossible to see house numbers,” said a spokesman for the Potter County Local Emergency Planning Committee. “Reflective signs are highly visible. Posted at the end of a driveway, they could save emergency responders precious time, potentially saving lives and property.”
Cost for each sign ranges from $15 to $20. Proceeds from the number sale supports volunteer fore and ambulance services. To arrange for sign purchases, contact the following: Coudersport, Chris Heimel, 274-7411; Austin, Sheryl Orlowski, 647-5311; Roulette, Frank Kaziska, 544-9920; Shinglehouse, Methodist Church, 697-6191, For Ulysses /Tri - Town area please contact Roy Hunt @ 814 - 848 - 3876.

For Ulysses /Tri - Town area please contact Roy Hunt @ 814 - 848 - 3876.
Signs may also be purchased and made while you wait at our Fish Fries, starting in January. Watch for dates!
Thank you,
Roy Hunt
great idea!!!
How did Genesee get left off this???
As normal you have left out Harrison Township. Would be nice if you would learn the Townships that are in the County.
Where is this Harrison Township you speak of?
Looks like there are a lot of townships/boroughs that are not specifically listed (5 of 29... 30 if you count Cross Fork). I have nothing to do with this organization - but it looks like hub areas were chosen. I am guessing that the organizers assumed that if you live in Harrison Twp that you are aware that the closest contact person is probably in Ulysses. Unless of course you were looking to volunteer to sell the signs for the population of your particular township? In which case, good for you!
