Roulette Township Still Looking For Water Leak

We have been looking for the leak throughout the morning and it appears that there is still a major leak somewhere in the main line that runs along Railroad Ave. between Hester Ave. and the trailer court.

The leak that we repaired yesterday, did help and is still leak free, but it was not the big one that we have been looking for. Our employees will continue to focus their attention to this area for the remainder of the day in hopes that we can find this before the storm hits and makes it even tougher for us to locate the source of the problem.

Calls have been made to get assistance from the Pennsylvania Rural Water Association to help us pinpoint the source, but we have not yet been able to secure a day and time for them to arrive. With the holidays, it may be a week or more before they can get up here with their specialized equipment.

Provided that the problem does not continue to grow, there will be no problems from a customer standpoint as our water source is plentiful and has the capabilities of producing in excess of 200,000 gallons per day, in addition to the 240,000 gallons finished water storage tank that we have.

If it does get worse before the PRWA can get up here, it may get bad enough to surface and help us find it as well. I will keep you posted as we learn more.
