Roulette Water Leak Update

Roulette Water Leak Update

The employees of the township will be systematically working their way around town today performing more in-depth leak detection methods.

Those methods include the closing of valves in strategic places to listen for abnormally high flow through the valves. As they work their way through the system, our customers may experience brief losses of water pressure and flow.

The leak that was advertised last week as being about 30,000 gallons per day has escalated to nearly 70,000 gallons per day over the course of the weekend.

If anyone has noticed a drop in their usual pressure since yesterday, not counting the brief losses that they will experience today, please call the township office so that we can prioritize that section of the system. Once we have been able to narrow down a section of the system, they will work towards narrowing down the exact location and begin repairs immediately.

Once we know where the repairs will take place, we will notify the public as there will probably be a temporary outage that will affect some of our customers while the line is being dug up and repaired. We appreciate your assistance and understanding as we progress through this unplanned maintenance of our system.

We will be happy to oblige your request. Just give us your address or account number so we can add the 70,000 gallons per day to your bill. Thank you for stepping up to the plate and offering to help us cover the cost.
