Route 44 Reduced To Single Lane After Tractor-Trailer Crash

Route 44 lane restriction in Black Forest area of Brown Township, Lycoming County

Motorists in the northwest corner of Lycoming County are advised that Route 44 is currently reduced to a single lane for traffic in the Black Forest area of Brown Township following a tractor-trailer crash.

Flaggers are directing traffic flow.

A wrecker is being called to the scene. It is possible that both lanes may be closed for a time to remove the truck. 

Coudersport emergency responders were mistakenly dispatched to this accident this morning. 

 12:30 p.m. update: The Route 44 lane restriction is lifted. Traffic patterns are back to normal.
