Ruth G. Dahler Gorfida, 84, of Warren, PA, died Friday evening, December 14, 2012 at Forsyth Memorial Hospital, Winston Salem, N.C.. 

She was born November 17, 1928 in Warren, PA. to the late Casper and Anna Kehlri Dahler. 

She was a lifelong Warren area resident. Ruth was employed at the former Montgomery Wards Company as a credit clerk for 16 years and had been employed at the former Struthers Wells Corp. from 1969 to 1975 as an office service specialist. 

She was a member of Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, the church altar rosary society, Lakewood Rod & Gun Club Ladies Auxiliary. She had served on the board of directors of the Warren Crimestoppers and was crowned as Warren County Ms. Senior.

She is survived by her daughter – Judith A. Meyer and husband, David J. of Winston Salem, N.C., 1 Granddaughter – Allison Marie Meyer, 1 Grandson – Adam James Meyer, 1 Sister – Freida Mansfield of Warren, PA., several nieces and nephews. 

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, James P. Gorfida whom she married July 18, 1955 in Bradford, PA. who died June 17, 2000, 2 Brothers – Robert L. and Walter H. Dahler, 2 Sisters – Louise Tannler, Martha Solock. 

Friends may call at the Donald E. Lewis Funeral Home, Inc., 304 East Street, Warren, PA. on Tuesday, December 18, 2012 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at Holy Redeemer R.C. Church, 11 Russell Street, Warren, PA. on Wednesday, December 19, 2012 at 10:00 A.M. with Fr. James Gutting, Pastor, officiating. Entombment will be in the Mausoleum of the Resurrection in St. Joseph R.C. Cemetery.
