Tractor Trailer driver arrested for DWI

On December 22, 2012, Trooper Cyle Pomeroy conducted a vehicle and traffic stop on a Tractor Trailer on County Route 20 in the Town of Amity.  
It was determined that the driver, RICKY L. COUNTS, 44, from London, KY, was intoxicated.  While he was being taken into custody by Trooper Pomeroy and Trooper Alexander Ray, he physically resisted arrest.  Trooper Pomeroy deployed his taser and the subject became cooperative.  
COUNTS was arrested for DWI, resisting arrest, and issued several traffic tickets.  He was arraigned at Town of Friendship Court and remanded to Allegany County Jail in lieu of $10,000.00 cash bail.  He is to return to Amity Court on January 2, 2013 at 7 pm.

Good job by the cops in getting that guy off the roads. Tasers do have a way of getting subjects to cooperate.
