TRAGEDY AT SANDY HOOK-CONNECTICUT

We , thru our churches and ourselves, pray for all concerned. God bless the teacher who prayed for her children at that time. The pain will be felt for years. I know as we have lost a son and great-grand daughter thru tragedy and I still grieve at times.

How quickly are the liberals to scream Gun-Control is needed. I ask when will they control those clinics that abort thousands of innocent lives a year using tax payer monies? Remember the good book says I knew you before you were in your mother's womb. Do something good for our children and return moral rights as prayer back into our schools. Get the programs into your schools that teach morality, not sex education. Parents and educators alike, teach the little ones right from wrong, not well everything is good.

I use a paragraph from a recent magazine I read. ::: With this understanding, whether the Constitution says we have the right "to keep and bear arms " is irrelevant. That right was handed to us by a higher Authority and exists in the courts of Heaven, thus, it is incumbent on the people of the USA and elsewhere in this world to do all in their power to preserve. I say no more, other than our fore fathers wrote this with the thoughts of the second amendment to the Constitution.

Our government breaks their own laws by selling guns thru Fast & Furious , F16 to Muslim brotherhood in Egypt , monies from foreign aid to rebuild and support Muslim churches. They have destroyed our education systems with the removal of all good things taught as the lords prayer and to obey the ten commandments. Our means of receiving information (I.E-- TV--radio---computer) have all been corrupted by false hoods.

I finish with one thought in mind, " God is good all the time " even though we never may know why.

I like this post. Thank you.

so now God is pro-gun? I never knew that. I wonder what caliber He prefers.

Why not just offer a prayer for the innocents and leave your political trash out of it for the time being.

The massacre is heartbreaking stuff. There is no explanation for it; not the presence of guns, or the absence of God. It was one evil act in a community full of good people.

And just look at the behavior of the teachers in Sandy Hook to see if our schools are destroyed. Not at all. Some of them are full of heroes willing to sacrifice their lives for others. Has a religious message right there for you, Mr Causer.

I'm praying for the victims, their families and also for Jim to delete Mr.Causer's future emails.

Our schools are a mess Austin for example got a $250,000.00 literacy grant. They hired 20 new tudors mostly right off the street yet the school has NO reading, writing, typing or computer classes! As far as the security issue i was at the christmas concert last week in Austin and the doors were all propped wide open for anyone to come in or out ! Now people from Austin are on facebook calling for higher taxes to put a (highly trained) armed gaurd at the front door! WOW!

2 Chronicles 7:14....i do pray for all the parents that lost their babies..how can we make sense out of something so senseless?...for all the teachers that tried to protect their students it does show what they are all about...now is not the time to discuss anything political or religious at all...let us grieve and let us receive comfort...God will be there for those who call on his name and for those who grieve other ways thats what you do...always our choice and it should remain so...right now we need to comfort one another and hope things will change but we forget so easy...only been a couple of weeks since Mrs Sitler but yet now something else has taken over the news...i choose to pray to God and ask for his comfort..if you choose not too fine...a forum is for comments and thoughts...you respect mine and ill respect yours...to display anger through words only fuels the fire...to throw out faults now fuels the fire..concentrate your efforts right now on the families and the law enforcement that has to deal with such a despicable act...what a coward he was...thats all i can say about that...

Hey, 4:52, I was quite surprised to learn that a local school district would recruit individuals from Great Britain -- 20 of them no less! As for Mr. Causer, while I thank and respect you for your military service, I cannot excuse the incredible uneducated, bigoted tripe with which you regularly embarrass yourself on this website. Now, as for those tudors. Will they require living arrangements? Don't need no stinkin' literacy in our school....

Keep politics out of this tragedy- it has no business here

Hey 5:56 sorry for the typo! Yet all people like you can do is ridicule others! Your way of thinking is one the biggest problems in todays world!

I don't believe that in order to have morals you have to be god fearing. There are Christians out there that have done some very bad things, as well as people with other religious beliefs. Being a good person comes from the heart. Doing what's right, helping overs, compassion, empathy. Those are all things that good people do/have. Not just people who go to church or believe in a God. I don't think putting religion back into school will do any good. People that do things like the recent shooting, are sick in the head. No religion is going to help that.

4:52 pm...it is tutor for one...so maybe that literacy grant is a good thing...and secondly austin has the same security measures as the CT school...you have to be buzzed in...if they don't know you you have to show id and you have to sign in and out...and as far as the christmas concert a little lax yes...but i would hope that you don't have a child that is a student there and i hope and pray that nothing ever happens cause i am sure you will be the first one bitching about it...i for one would welcome an armed person in the school and i would be happy to pay a higher tax for a little peace of mind when it comes to my precious children something that i would never be able to get back and you are sadly...sadly mistaken if you think it could NEVER happen here!!!

one if the big problems in todays world is how quickly we forget things!!! the focus quickly changed from 28 innocent people being gunned down by a crazed person to bickering about gun laws that is what the issue is. I could kill you with a pencil, a screwdriver, bat, tire iron and the list goes on and we wouldnt be hearing about banning pencils or any of the above mentioned things. Banning guns isn't going to solve the problem either we have gun laws but if someone wants one bad enough they will find a way legally or illegally if they are banned same deal they will be found and used regardless of any law so my suggestion would be we can it about stricter gun laws and work to find a real solution to the issues at hand. Media reporting is another issue did we really need to interview young kids about what they saw and heard? no wasn't really necessary common sense can help you piece together the situation and how it played out. Do we need to see his name over and over again??? No we don't. All this 24//7 media coverage does is plant the seed in someones else's mind on how to go bigger and better. We should remember the victims and never once forget one of their names but as far as the cowardly people that do these acts we should never ever hear their names. First amendment rights sure all for them but the reporting and spouting off at the mouth is getting more and more tasteless. Hug your kids if you have them and be thankful the 20 sets of parents that have to face the rest of their lives without their kids isn't your reality!!!

Jim, When are you going to stop printing dribble from this nut case? PLEASE!

I pray for the victims and their families! As for Austin I am sick of hearing about them close it down! Worst school board ever and I have never heard so much complaining as I have in the 2 years! Vote in new members or zip it!

8:14, yes, you can kill people with a screwdriver, pencil, etc...but not 30 at a time. The murderer used 30 round clips. I can think of NO reason why the general public needs weapons that are designed for mass slaughter. I don't think anyone wants to take away your hunting rifle.

I'm quite sure a gun has never taken control of me and told me to shoot anything. People kill people, period. Until society faces the hard truths crazy crap like this will continue. Let us all hope that common sense becomes the norm and the real issues get discussed rationally and put us on a path of recovery.

Your an idiot. What do "30 round clips" have to do with anything when he killed 26 people? Would it be different if he used 2 10 round clips? Or 100? The pistols were probably 15 round mags. Wanna ban those too? Id like to ban your stupidity

PRAYER?????? It was your god that thought this was the right thing to let happen in the first place!!!! Since he controls everything and all...

Anonymous said...

I agree. These idiots think that if they make a gun illegal all the gangs in the world are going to come hand their guns in. The only people it hurts are folks that are responsible.

I taught in Austin for 33 yrs. If you know absolutely nothing about the quality of education these students receive please don't make these knee-jerk comments.a

Jim, I think I may have to stop reading your blog and ask friends and family to stop giving their business to your advertisers. I've always thought your blog had strong religious undertones which I find distracting when trying to be a news source which should be impartial. However, the frequent posting of this insane man's rants has turned your site into some sort of right wing religious propaganda and has made it somewhat of a joke. It's unfortunate.

when the framers drafted the Constitution, black-powder muzzleloaders were the guns of the time. If they ever envisioned assault rifles and automatic pistols, they may have well used different language. These men were highly intelligent but not able to see into the future 200 plus years.

This argument that people kill people and the guns have nothing to do with it is getting to be extremely lame.

A surgeon can't operate without tools of the trade; a mechanic can't change your engine without the proper equipment. And a mass murderer isn't going to attack a grade school with number two pencils. Do you realize how stupid that sounds?

I think we'd be a safer country if firearms were limited to long rifles and shotguns with bolt action or lever action, and revolvers. Nobody besides law enforcement needs a Glock or a Sig with a 20 shot clip.

But it's too late anyways; there's millions of these lethal guns around the world. You just need to hope you're never on the receiving end of their capability.

Well said @ 10:47. After all, it's people WITH guns that kill people.

Our country is rotting from within.

P.S the "assault weapon" was in the car. He used 2 pistols. F U

Anonymous said...

Yeah cause nobody has ever been killed by a shot gun or hunting rifle. The thing that makes you guys sound so stupid is "gotta get the assault rifles and the big clips!" So you dont have an issue with me owning 3 10 round clips right? And LOL at your "law enforcement" comment. You cant trust those idiots with a tazer!!!!

WHERE DID ALL THE TOWN PEOP[E GO FIRST? TO PRAY IN CHURCH . HOLD CHURCH SERVICES AS A MORAL CENTER POINT IN THEIR LIVES. DON'T TRY AND TELL ME BEING A CHRISTIAN DOES NOT WORK. YOU HAVE TO HAVE A STRONG MORAL FOOTER TO STAND THIS ACT OF MURDER IN OUR SCHOOLS. YOU MUST KEEP YOUR FAITH TO CONTROL YOUR ANGER AND MOST OF ALL FEAR. DON'T BE AFRAID TO STAND UP AND BE COUNTED AS TO YOUR BELIEFS. JESUS SAID ON THE CROSS, FORGIVE THEM FOR THEY KNOW NOT WHAT THEY DO. IT IS TIME FOR HEALING TO BEGIN AND GRIVING WILL TAKE A LONG TIME. Jim,

Please keep posting Mr. Causer's and everyone else's perspectives. After all, isn't a blog for discussion? I also notice the same people lash out at everyone in these comments, most really don't ever support their claim.

The 2nd amendment was a protection against tyranny. The forefathers saw enough into the future for this. Read the Declaration of Independence. If the government has AK 47s then so should I. (Not using this arguement for nuc's, tanks, and fighter planes). Drunk Drivers killed 1,200 children last year. Ban all cars. Ban food it feeds the terrorists. Just a side fact. The worst school massacre occured in 1928. A nutcase lost a local election I believe and killed 38 kids, 7 adults with Dynamite. And by the way 6:37:00 politics has every place here, since the liberal left started the gun arguement the day of the shooting, which would infringe on my RIGHTS!
