A Roulette woman suffered injuries of unknown severity when her 1995 Jeep Cherokee overturned down over an embankment after swerving to miss a deer on Route 6 near the Seneca Inn on Wednesday morning at 1:45 AM.
Monica R. Musser, 35, of Roulette, PA, was traveling east on Route 6 when she alleges a deer appeared in the roadway and she swerved to avoid it. Her Jeep struck the guard rail on the south roadside, crossed the westbound lane and struck the guardrail on the north roadside. The vehicle overturned along the north berm and continued to overturn down an embankment on the north roadside, coming to rest on it's roof according to Trooper Leslie Barr, who investigated.
Musser had fled the scene before troopers arrived.
Roulette EMS was dispatched to her home in Roulette to check on her injuries at 10:15 AM, but she declined transport to a hospital.
PennDOT provided traffic control and assisted the towing company in removing a guide rail and roadside cleanup. The investigation is continuing according to Trooper Barr.
