AIRCRAFT
FORCED TO MAKE EMERGENCY LANDING - This United Express aircraft with 19
passengers and a crew of three was forced to land at the Wmspt Regional
Airport when an odor of smoke was detected in the cockpit about 1:30
p.m. today.
Jonathan L. Baker, the airport's fire chief and
director of operations and safety, said the aircraft landed safely.
There were no injuries and no damage to the aircraft, he said.
