Applicant's Briefing For FEMA Hurricane Sandy Damage Assistance

The Potter County Department of Emergency Services along with a representative of the PA Emergency Management Agency will conduct an APPLICANT’S BRIEFING on THURSDAY, JANUARY 24, 2013 at 6:00 PM at the GUNZBURGER BUILDING (1 North Main Street, Coudersport, PA—Use the Water Street Entrance). 
 FEMA Public Assistance provides funding to eligible applicants for emergency work and permanent restoration of damaged facilities related to the Hurricane Sandy disaster.  The
INCIDENT PERIOD COVERS OCTOBER 26, 2012 THROUGH NOVEMBER 8, 2012.
Eligible applicants include County & Municipal Governments, Municipal Authorities, School Districts, State Government Agencies, and Certain Essential Private Non-Profit Organizations.
 Any damages incurred during the incident period may be eligible for funding (road repairs, road washouts, debris removal, tree removal, power outages, use of equipment, equipment damage not covered by insurance, food expenses or any other emergency protective measures that were taken).  This process will be discussed in detail at the Applicant’s Briefing.
 A Representative from your Organization MUST”  attend this Briefing to complete and submit a “Request for Public Assistance” application to qualify for funding.  FEMA will then schedule a “Kick-Off” meeting to meet one-on-one with each Applicant to discuss the damages they incurred.
