Basic Astronomy
Have you
always been fascinated by astronomy and wanted to know more about our vast
universe? In this 4-part course,
instructor Stash Nawrocki of Crystal Spheres, Adventures in Star Gazing, will
be your guide. Topics covered include - Week One: Terra Firma - the 4 rocky
worlds, their evolution, future exploration, and discovering their orbits; Week
Two: The Gas Giants – no place to stand, their composition, surprises of the
moons, and chances of alien life; Week Three: The Sun and the Moon – things you
did not know that you need to know, and how it will all end; and Week Four:
Equipment – getting a closer look at the Cosmos.
This course is scheduled for Tuesdays, February 19 through
March 12, 2013 from 6 to 9 p.m.at the Potter County Education Council’s
Coudersport office. The cost is $12 per session or $39 for the 4-session
