Casey R. Fichte, 49 of Custer City, PA

Casey R. Fichte, 49 of Custer City, PA, died January 1, 2013. He was the son of Edmond and Joyce Fichte of Bradford.

He was a graduate of California Culinary Academy, in San Francisco, majoring in French Cuisine. After several years in San Francisco he returned to his home town of Bradford. He was Executive Chef at The Lodge at Glendorn in McKean County and later Senior Corporate Chef for Adelphia Corporation & Wending Creek Farms. He changed his career path and was later employed at American Refining Group Inc.

Along with hunting, fishing, and kayaking he loved his dog Cyrus.

Surviving in addition to his parents, is his loving companion, Debbie Graham, with whom he resided, one sister, Lesa Fichte and her husband Tom Koppenhaver, one niece Sara Koppenhaver all of Kenmore, NY, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, January 5, 2013, from 10:00am to noon in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Home, 33 South Ave. Private funeral services will be held with Rev. Tom Verner, Pastor of the First United Methodist Church. Burial will be in St. Petersburg Cemetery, St. Petersburg, PA.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the McKean County SPCA or the charity of the donor's choice.

I worked for John Rigas and remember Casey. I liked him very much and thought he was an excellent chef. I am very sorry to hear of his passing. My condolences to his family and friends and Cyrus.
