CUTTING EDGE GYMNASTICS TAKES 1ST AT ERIE INVITATIONAL

Last weekend, Cutting Edge Gymnastics of Coudersport traveled to Erie, PA for their 12th Annual Stars and Stripes Invitational. Over 1,000 gymnasts representing 35 teams across PA, NY, OH, and WV attended the competition. 

Twenty-three gymnasts from Levels 3-Novice Prep Optional represented Cutting Edge Gymnastics. The Level 3 Team had an outstanding performance as they brought home 1st place in the Team division.

The whole team had a great showing, bringing home over 70 individual awards from the large competition. Level 4’s Torrie Foy qualified for the Level 4 State competition this weekend that will be held in March at Aerials Gymnastics in Phoenixville. Gymnasts in level 4 must receive an all-around score of 34.0 or higher to qualify for the state competition.

Gymnasts placing in the top 3 in the All Around division: Level 3: Laci Miller-33.725-3rd, Selin Sumer-36.35-1st, Lauryn Potter-35.60-2nd, Emma Saulter-35.75-1st, Mikayla Gunn-34.35-2nd, and Madison Preston-33.00-2nd, and Level 4: Jordan Brewer-35.725-1st.

Two gymnasts were added to the 34.00 all around club: Mikayla Gunn-34.35, Torrie Foy-34.55; 3 gymnasts were added to the 35.00 all around club: Lauryn Potter-35.60, Emma Saulter-35.75, and Jordan Brewer-35.725; and Level 3 Selin Sumer was added to the 36.00 All Around Club with a 36.35. 

Cutting Edge has a couple weeks off from competition though will continue to train and prepare for their next competition in Williamsport, PA February 9th & 10th for their Climb High Invitational.
