Last year, LEEK Hunting and Mountain Preserve raised $5,000 in donations at the Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show.

That $5,000 paid for the nonprofit to bring six wounded veterans to its Potter County preserve.

"I'm talking kids who lost their legs, lost their arms," said Ed Fisher, a LEEK co-founder. "We're a very unique organization that we can get these guys out in the field and show them they can still hunt."

Wounded veterans walked up to their booth at the Harrisburg show and learned what was possible, said Fisher, who lives in Lewisberry. Other people took information to give to a Wounded Warrior in their life. Read more...

WHAT DID YOU DO WITH THE $850/PER HUNTER THAT IT COST YOU?

As an avid hunter and shooter I think it is sad that all of these companies want to boycott this show because they do not want certain types of firearms at the show.

This isn't about our second amendment rights, it is about profits and making as much money as they can.

It is sad that business is using fear mongering and standing behind the second amendment when they really don't care about rights of gun owners, but their bottom lines.

How about posting the address that donations can be sent to. To the 6 am poster I hope you are not implying A misuse of funds. If you have been to the leek preserve you would see what has been built for our heros and what theses wonderful volunteers have accomplished.

12:51 "This isn't about our second amendment rights,.."

This is ABSOLUTELY about Second Amendment rights. how can you possibly think you're going to tell a pro-gun outdoor show crowd "we're just not supporting SOME kinds of guns" and think there's not going to be a reaction? right now democrats are saying "we dont want all your guns, we just want to ban SOME kinds of guns." Regardless of whether YOU agree with these types of firearms or not, they all fall under the rights granted by the Second. i'm actually GLAD to see companies boycott this event when they could have let their wallet talk instead.

and as for LEEK- if you're worried about them getting money raised, donate directly to them. there's no way in hell you'd get me to go to the show right now unless they change their stance, and i support anyone else doing the same, so to offset it, i just donated $50 to LEEK. i'd gladly donate money to them knowing all the good they do than give it to those at the show content with having the Second regulated and infringed upon.

"shall not be infringed" means just that.
