Galeton Rotary Club News

The Galeton Rotary Club met on January 17 at the Ox Yoke Inn with President Beth Hoff presiding, The program for the evening was on the battle of Gettysburg. This historic event was the high water mark of the civil war. Club treasurer, Dr. Joe Iaquinto was in charge .

On January 24th the club again met at the Ox Yoke with President Beth presiding. Rotarian Sarah Garber presented the program which featured the newly formed Interact Group in the Galeton Area School. This organization is a junior branch of Rotary International. There are seven members of the group. Sarah introduced Nick Loch, president, Zach Brown vice president, Josephine Beck and Dan Hatch. These fine young people introduced themselves and spoke about what the group is working towards, There local mission is to start a food drive for the needy and to work on a world cause. They look forward to making a positive difference for society in the world.

The club is proud of Sarah getting this very fine group of Galeton youth started on this worthwhile endeavor.
