I-80 Columia County work zone restrictions this week

Here are the scheduled lane restrictions/closures in the I-80 work zone around Mifflinville in Columbia County for this week.

Tomorrow, Jan. 23, the eastbound left lane will be closed between miles 242 and 241 (Mifflinville and Berwick exits) from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in order to remove asphalt waste in the median. The contractor is performing this work at this time due to the ground being frozen which will minimize mud being tracked onto the roadway.

As a reminder, the I-80 westbound Mifflinville on-ramp remains closed. This is due to merging traffic safety concerns in the narrowed two-lane area. The ramp detour remains in effect.

PennDOT reminds motorists they can log on to 511pa.com or call 511 from any phone to check interstate traffic conditions before heading out.
