Man Arrested For Soliciting Money To Bury Dead Wife

A Harrison Valley man is facing charges for Theft By Deception and Criminal Trespass in recent incidents in Ulysses and Harrison Townships

Robert Lance Buchsenschultz, 66, of 220 Lot 1, Iva-Gen Road, Harrison Valley, PA, is being charged with Theft By Deception by Trooper Matthew Montag after he allegedly approached James Stilson and Dean Erway at 63 Pusher Siding Road in Ulysses Township and asked the men for money to help bury his wife who had just passed away. He received $60.00 from the victims, who later discovered that it was a scam and Buchsenschultz had done this several times in the past.

Buchsenschultz is also facing a Criminal Trespass Charge after Trooper Kyle M. Butler found that he had entered the residence of Rodney Lane at 750 Woodard Road in Harrison Township without permission or consent.

Both charges will be filed in District Court 55-4-03 in Galeton.

Glad that he was finally caught, thanks Jim and Dean for not letting him get away with this!! He has done it many, many times to local people, churches and businesses.

Should we charge our government with the same? As we must pay in to Social Security every week, but they don't really use it for that.

Everyone has to be so careful especially with so many people scamming others these days. Times are very difficult but it is no excuse to scam people. So glad it was figured out before this man got the chance to do it to other people.

Tom and I were scammedby him too. He said his wife had just died of cancer and he needed money to open the grave so Tom gave him the $40 he asked for. We turned it in to the state police
