Michael E. Price, 59, of 24 Orchard Place, Bradford, PA, passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2013, at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

Born June 29, 1953, in Salamanca he was a son of the late William James and Elizabeth M. "Betty" (Niver) Price.

Mr. Price was a 1971 graduate of Bradford High School. On October 12, 1971, he enlisted in the United States Navy. He served as a gunners mate onboard the USS Donald B. Berry during the Viet Nam War and was honorably discharged October 8, 1975

He was a volunteer Fireman for the Derrick City Volunteer Fire Department. He coached girls softball, Little League Baseball and in his younger years was a Boy Scout..

Mr. Price enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, and was an avid bowler and bowled a 300 game. In 1988 he was the State Champion in pitching horseshoes.

He had worked at Trico Industries until it closed and then as a supervisor at Penn Metal Stamping in St. Marys

He is survived by a daughter, Katie (Kyle) L. Brandt, of Bradford, and a sister, Linda L. Sears, of Marshburg, one grandson, Hunter Brandt, and several aunts, uncles, cousins and nieces and nephews. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Frederick Paul Price and a daughter Melissa Ann Price.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, February 2, 2013, from 11:00am to 1:00pm in the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes, Inc. 372 East Main St., at which time funeral services will be held with Rev Max Miller, pastor of the Bradford Area Parish officiating. Committal Services and Military Honors will be accorded in Willow Dale Cemetery.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to American Legion or Veterans of Foreign Wars.
