Minivan hits elk in Elk County

RIDGWAY -- Two people escaped injury after their minivan struck an elk.
State police at Ridgway said the crash happened Friday evening in Jay Township, Elk County, when the animal went onto Route 255/Bennetts Valley Highway in front of the vehicle.
The minivan struck the elk, causing it to roll onto the hood and windshield, police said. The animal remained on the road after the crash, police said. Read more...
