At this time there are minor flooding issues in Roulette:
Minor flooding in low-lying areas where the river and streams normally
flow out of their banks during high water, are being reported throughout
the township.
There have not been any reports, as of this moment, of any damages or flooding of any structures.
The West Branch of Fishing Creek Road has flowing water covering one
lane and standing water in the other lane, near the Fishing Creek
Bridge. The roadway is still open at this point, but please use caution
in that area.
Main Street, just west of Fishing Creek near the
Kaple Farm, is flowing across the roadway and the road has been closed
for public safety.
The EOC has been activated on a stand-by monitoring basis at this point and updates will be posted as I receive them.
I spoke briefly with the Potter EMA office this morning, and there is
no determined time of cresting of the river and streams as of yet, but
due to the fact that the rain turned to snow at about 5AM, we anticipate
that it won’t get much worse than we are already seeing.
