New York State Is Downstream From PA's Toxic Waste

Democrat and Chronicle: Triple Divide, Potter's Toxic waste and Bear Lake Injection wells

The following link is the Democrat and Chronicle on the Triple Divide, The monstrous toxic frack-waste impound/treatment facility planned for Potter and the injection wells near the Tamarack swamp near Corry Pa:

Democrat and Chronicle:

The Triple Divide is that fabled spot in the Pennsylvania hills just south of the New York border where the headwaters of three rivers reside nearly side-by-side. The Genesee, the Allegheny and the west branch of the Susquehanna — which ultimately flow north into the Gulf of St. Lawrence, southwest to the Gulf of Mexico and southeast to Chesapeake Bay, respectively — all rise in the same field near Gold, Pennsylvania.

Triple Divide: As new film shows, everything’s downstream.

There have been articles on the county website and Endeavor about this water treatment plant. Where is the rest of the media? Is it true that not one member of the public showed up when the people who are planning to build this plant gave a program to the Planning Commission? Doesn't anyone over there in Potter County God's Country give a rat's ass any more? Have you people just given in to Big Wind and Big Gas? Everyone us laying down and letting AES and the gas companies run roughshod over you. Say good bye to your rural character, your environment and everything you claim to cherish.

To January 12, 2013: Many of Potter’s roads and bridges are already substandard. The roads near the proposed wastewater recycling plant won’t bear the load of the constant heavy truck traffic, nor will route 6 through Coudersport. But I don’t think this is a battle worth putting much effort into because most local citizens and elected officials have been putty in the hands of the Shale industry. In fact, the preservation of the environment and the quality of life for citizens seems to be a low priority since the Shale gas greed began. Potter is headed toward a big transformation and there isn’t much anyone can do about it.

big wind?

Anyone that uses that term with any seriousness can easily have it applied to them

9:44 do you know who AES is? Just one of the biggest energy companies in the world, that's all. Do your homework before you get on here and show your ignorance. Big wind? Yes, very big wind. And look at the AES track record in other countries running roughshod over the environment and yes the human populations. Very big, in fact.
