Potter County Housing Authority will receive bids for replacement windows

Invitation for Bids

Potter County Housing Authority will receive bids for replacement windows (material only) for Redwood Village I Housing Project, Galeton, Pennsylvania at the office of the Owner, Potter County Housing Authority, 22 East 7th Street, Coudersport, Pennsylvania until 1:00 p.m. E.S.T., February 15, 2013, at which time and place all bids will be opened and read aloud. Envelope shall be marked “Replacement Windows for Redwood Village I Project”, and marked to the attention of Mr. Joe Pagano. Bidders will be notified as to bid results and disposition of contract award.

Proposed forms of contract documents are on file at the office of the Potter County Housing Authority, 22 E. 7th Street, Coudersport Pennsylvania 16915, and will be available for inspections. Tel (814) 274-7031.

Copies of the documents may be obtained by depositing $20 (non-refundable) with the Potter County Housing Authority for each set of documents obtained.

A certified check or bank draft, payable to the Potter County Housing Authority, U.S. Government Bonds, or a satisfactory bid bond executed by the bidder and acceptable sureities in an amount equal to five percent of the bids shall be submitted with each bid as bid security.

The successful bidder will be required to provide Express Written Warranty.

By making a Bid, the Bidder represents the (s)he has read and understands the Drawings and Specifications, and the Bid is made in accordance therewith.

The Contractor, in accordance with Executive Orders 11625 and 12138, must utilize to the greatest extent feasible minority and/or women owned business concerns which are located within the general trade area.

The Owner shall award the contract to the lowest responsible bidder or shall reject all bids within 60 days of the date of the bid opening, and no bidder may withdraw his bid before the expiration of such 60-day period.

Thirty (30) day extensions of the date for the award of the contract may be made by the mutual written consent of the Owner and the lowest responsible bidder.

Bidders for this contract shall have completed projects similar in character and scope and will be required to provide with their proposal the Bidders EIN number and DUNS number.

Potter County Housing Authority reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities in the bidding.
