that was the first thing that jumped out to me too. so i asked. they had to say it was temporary because they did not want to tie the hands of future boards and the lawyer recommended that it be worded that way. but i heard right directly from one of the commissioners' personally that at least this board will not be reinstating that tax. i honestly don't see much chance any future board will either since the cost to collect the tax eats up much of the tax revenue. if they try to reinstate the per capita tax i can guarantee you that there will be a big uprising and they will regret it.
