Rose M. Varone, 87, of Bradford, PA

Rose M. Varone
Rose M. Varone, 87, of Bradford, PA, went to be with her Lord on Friday, January 25, 2013 at the Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center.

She was born on December 4, 1925, the daughter of the late Alfred and Josephine Minucci Rizzo.

On June 21, 1953 in Naples, Italy, she married Philip Varone; who preceded her in death on August 28, 1985.

She was a 1943 graduate of the St. Bernard High School.

She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church; where she volunteered for various church functions.

She owned and ran her own Beauty Shop out of her home for a number of years and she also had been a Nurse’s Aide at the Pavilion at Bradford Regional Medical Center for a time.

She is survived by two sons, Philip (Barbara) Varone, Greenville, TX, Anthony Varone, Lewis Run, one daughter, Freda Carletta, Bradford, one brother, Louis (Martha) Rizzo, Lewis Run, four grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by one brother, Leo Rizzo.

Friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Monday, January 28, 2013 at 2:00 PM at the St. Bernard Catholic Church with the Rev. Raymond Gramata as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Bernard Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions in her memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.
