Roulette Water Leak Update
After observing the water withdrawal from our system over the extended weekend, since we closed off the section of line along Pomeroy St., it was determined that this was indeed the big leak that we had been searching for. There was an overnight drop in consumption that has stabilized at near to our average daily withdrawal of 50,000 gallons per day. The leak that we have bypassed is estimated to have been somewhere between 170,000 and 180,000 gallons per day.
Our crews will be in the area of the leak tomorrow to run a temporary service line to the one customer that has been affected by our bypass, and a brief loss of water to the western end of Main Street may be unavoidable. It will be short lived, and time is undetermined at this point.
On another unrelated note…
The township office, library and recycling has power restored and is back up and running as of this morning.
