Shinglehouse Woman Injured In Crash

Investigation is continuing in a one vehicle crash on SR4017, 1 1/2 miles from Bells Run Road  in Sharon Township last Thursday at 5:40 PM.

Maxine L. Rice, 79, of Shinglehouse, PA, was moderately injured according to Trooper Jonathan Wooster who is investigating. She was using her seatbelt.

Trooper Wooster said the crash occurred as Rice was driving a 2011 Hyundai Sonata westbound on SR4017, when she failed to negotiate a curve in the roadway, left the north side and impacted with a utility pole. Rice was transported to a hospital by Shinglehouse Ambulance.

Shinglehouse Volunteer Fire Department and Kightlinger's Towing assisted at the scene.
