Summit Road Home Destroyed By Fire Monday

 Fire destroys Cuba home

CUBA —An accidental fire which started around the wood stove destroyed a Summit Road residence Monday, but three people there at the time got out uninjured.

 At around 12:15 p.m., county dispatchers got a call that fire had broken out at 4669 Summit Road.

 Property owner Christine Urban and tenants Gayle and Doug Jackson were in the residence at the time.

 "It was a total loss. It was a one-family dwelling,” said Cuba Fire Chief Kevin Nutt. “The smell of smoke was what alerted them.”  Read more..
