Vendors Boycotting Outdoor Show In Harrisburg

ESOS Boycott Supporters

Northeast Outdoors.com
Here is a list of celebrities, sponsors, and vendors who have pulled out of the Reed Exhibits Eastern Sports and Outdoors Show in Harrisburg, PA for 2013.  The show was set to run from Feb 2-10, 2013 and usually attracted hundreds of thousands of visitors.

This however will not be the case this year as they have made an announcement that they will not support our Second Amendment Rights as Hunters, Shooting Sports Enthusiasts, Gun Owner, and AMERICANS !  We at MyNortheastOutdoors.com decided it was time to take a stand, and have enjoyed the support of the following businesses and entities listed below.

We will continue to update this list (Last Updated:  20 Jan 2013 @ 12:45pm) as often as we can get the information, however in the meantime if you see that we have missed you or any others, or you would like to contact us, Email Us Here.

FROM THE WEBSITE: "As a hunting-focused event, we welcome exhibitors who wish to showcase products and firearms that serve the traditional needs of the sport. Clearly, we strongly support the 2nd Amendment. However, this year we have made the decision not to include certain products that in the current climate may attract negative attention that would distract from the strong focus on hunting and fishing at this family-oriented event"

Looks like they DO support the Second Amendment.

Glad to see people and vendors not standing for this.

Are you positive that none of these vendors you have listed will be at the outdoor show? I have hotel reservations and if there are this many that are not going to be there I am going to cancel.

Bob said...

I cancelled my reservations and am demanding a ticket refund. I plan to stand by these Second Amendment supporters any way I can.

Poster 8:30.....there words say that they support the 2nd amendment, but there actions in restricting items that are considered legal definitely shows that they don't support it. I believe that this is just the beginning of a chain reaction and that they will either reconsider their stance or the show will have nothing there. The Sandy Hook shooting was definitely a tragedy, but having more gun restrictions wouldn't have stopped it.

DUH!!Stop wasting time & money on a non-issue! Get the mentally ill under control. These drugs have side effects!

Eric Harris age 17 (first on Zoloft then Luvox) and Dylan Klebold aged 18 (Columbine school shooting in Littleton, Colorado), killed 12 students and 1 teacher, and wounded 23 others, before killing themselves. Klebold's medical records have never been made available to the public.
Jeff Weise, age 16, had been prescribed 60 mg/day of Prozac (three times the average starting dose for adults!) when he shot his grandfather, his grandfather's girlfriend and many fellow students at Red Lake, Minnesota. He then shot himself. 10 dead, 12 wounded.
Cory Baadsgaard, age 16, Wahluke (Washington state) High School, was on Paxil (which caused him to have hallucinations) when he took a rifle to his high school and held 23 classmates hostage. He has no memory of the event.
Chris Fetters, age 13, killed his favorite aunt while taking Prozac.
Christopher Pittman, age 12, murdered both his grandparents while taking Zoloft.
Mathew Miller, age 13, hung himself in his bedroom closet after taking Zoloft for 6 days.
Kip Kinkel, age 15, (on Prozac and Ritalin) shot his parents while they slept then went to school and opened fire killing 2 classmates and injuring 22 shortly after beginning Prozac treatment.
Luke Woodham, age 16 (Prozac) killed his mother and then killed two students, wounding six others.
A boy in Pocatello, ID (Zoloft) in 1998 had a Zoloft-induced seizure that caused an armed stand off at his school.
Michael Carneal (Ritalin), age 14, opened fire on students at a high school prayer meeting in West Paducah, Kentucky. Three teenagers were killed, five others were wounded..
A young man in Huntsville, Alabama (Ritalin) went psychotic chopping up his parents with an ax and also killing one sibling and almost murdering another.
Andrew Golden, age 11, (Ritalin) and Mitchell Johnson, aged 14, (Ritalin) shot 15 people, killing four students, one teacher, and wounding 10 others.

Rod Mathews, age 14, (Ritalin) beat a classmate to death with a bat.
James Wilson, age 19, (various psychiatric drugs) from Breenwood, South Carolina, took a .22 caliber revolver into an elementary school killing two young girls, and wounding seven other children and two teachers.
Elizabeth Bush, age 13, (Paxil) was responsible for a school shooting in Pennsylvania

Jeff Franklin (Prozac and Ritalin), Huntsville, AL, killed his parents as they came home from work using a sledge hammer, hatchet, butcher knife and mechanic's file, then attacked his younger brothers and sister.
Neal Furrow (Prozac) in LA Jewish school shooting reported to have been court-ordered to be on Prozac along with several other medications.
Kevin Rider, age 14, was withdrawing from Prozac when he died from a gunshot wound to his head. Initially it was ruled a suicide, but two years later, the investigation into his death was opened as a possible homicide. The prime suspect, also age 14, had been taking Zoloft and other SSRI antidepressants.
Alex Kim, age 13, hung himself shortly after his Lexapro prescription had been doubled.
Diane Routhier was prescribed Welbutrin for gallstone problems. Six days later, after suffering many adverse effects of the drug, she shot herself.

What is the reason these vendors are pulling out? I don't get it. If they are protesting the attack on 2nd amendment rights, it would seem that coming to the show would show support. Someone explain...

Fred from Ulysses said...

stop with the second amendment crap. I'm a hunter - I own guns and use them respectfully and correctly. No one needs assault or military-style weapons. It has nothing to do with the second amendment. You right-wingers are nuts!

A dictator called Obama? Let's see. The Republicans stole the 2000 election by throwing out the Democrat votes until they won (hanging chads). It became apparent the only way to get the Republicans out of power would be by a land slide (not a close) election. That's how President Obama won. Seeing they could not steal another election unless it was close, the Republicans tried to suppress the Democrate vote in 2012. The Republicans want total power very badly. The have rigged the House through gerrymandering the districts. They have hijacked the Senate using "super majority" trickery. If they ever win the White House, I expect laws to be passed such that the Republicans never loose power again. If "dictator" could be a group and not just an individual, it would be called Republican. Br careful what you wish for.

This is great news. Our second ammendment made it possible to protect all the others. I was pretty sickened this morning watching the "president" being sworn in. All you see is "assault rifles" with "high capacity magazines". Just another example of the feds being above their own law. Unarm the citizens but we will keep them because we will keep them... Come and get them you son of a bitch. Come get them...

bob said...

Fred this battle is not about military style weapons, it is about your and my ability to own and use weapons that we choose. Remember that the 30:06 and the .308 BOLT action rifles started life as military weapons. I, for one, will take any and all help to protect our 2nd amendment and other rights

Anonymous said...

Thank you very much. Nowhere in the ammendment does it say "the right to bear arms that the government sees fit". These people dont understand. If they take 1 right, no matter which one, it will be a tragedy for the American people. I mean, if they ban the "scary looking ones" what happens when another "mentally challenged" person shoots another with a deer rifle? Then what? Then a muzzloader?...See, this crap doesnt affect everybody. Only honest law abiding citizens. And the ones that dont own a gun are the ones pushing for it because nothing will change for them YET.

So if you don't support the sale of Uzi's you're anti-american? NOT. I don't need some right wing whack-jobs telling me I'm anti-american. I've been hunting my whole life and own lots of guns. You radicals are going to have a tougher job if you alienate the hunting community too. Tone it down and be smart about how you're going to maintain political support for your cause.

Joe Bob the Redneck said...

You hunters might think you're safe for now, but eventually it will get down to you and what you use. Starting to allow control of guns will only end when they are banned completely. Try fending of the 2 masked intruders coming through your front door with your feather dusters and see how that works out for you.

This is a British company who puts on this show. Ask the Trop Gun shop what they did to them. They were buidling a large display, putting out tens of thousands of dollars on a military display for this show. They were encouraged to do this by the show's promoter earlier in the year.
Then the promoter pulls the plug on any "scary" rifles at the show. They bowed to political pressure.

As for all you hunters with bolt action's, you will be next to be demonized as having sniper rifles.

Please educate yourself about 2A because your next.

I will not be going either.

Dr Gary North -
My attitude is this: the Second Amendment announces in principle the sovereignty of the armed citizen. For as long as Americans possess this right, they will not need to use their guns to revolt.

We don’t need to shoot tyrants. We only need to prepare ourselves for the day when the Feds run out of enough money to enforce their trademarked slogans. That day is coming.

Judge Andrew Napolitano.

The historical reality of the Second Amendment’s protection of the right to keep and bear arms is not that it protects the right to shoot deer. It protects the right to shoot tyrants, and it protects the right to shoot at them effectively, with the same instruments they would use upon us. If the Jews in the Warsaw ghetto had had the firepower and ammunition that the Nazis had, some of Poland might have stayed free and more persons would have survived the Holocaust.

I was planning to go to the show but not now I commend this vendors for standing up for are rights as Americans and if u don't feel this way u are not what I call a true American in not because I own what they call military style weapons because I don't own them but wen some one uses something else to do an act like this they will come after are hunting rifles people in this country need to wake up and realize what is really going on in this country like a president trying to be a supreme ruler and us as American shouldn't let this happen so u people say u don't need weapons like this it should be your own choice not the government because it's are rights

To the one that posted about the hunters thinking they are safe, you are right. Guess what snipers in the military use. Bolt action rifles! To kill people at up to a mile away. So if I had the mentality of non gun collectors, I could say "I shoot assault rifles and there is no reason to be able to kill someone at 1000 yards". Sounds stupid right? This is exactly how you idiots sound calling us "right wing whackos" because we like all guns and believe in the constitution. Speaking of contitution, it doesnt specifically protect bolt action rifles does it? Maybe I will petition to have yours taken away since you are so afraid of mine

Can someone give me some advice? I have to find a way to explain to my 10 year old son that he is a criminal now because his 22 holds 10 rounds. (3 more than what the dictator will allow) He seems quite upset after seeing on the news that these are now being called a "weapon of mass destruction". Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

There isn't one single person in these United States that owns an "assault rifle/weapon." The M4A1 carbine is NOT sold to civilians. It's a weapon that I carry, as a member of the armed forces. What many Americans own (as I do myself) is an AR15..."semi-automatice" weapon...which, by the way I DO use for hunting...it's a FAR CRY FROM AN "Assualt rifle/weapon...please understand the difference...our news media outlets will guide you in the wrong direction....thanks for your time.
