Veronica M. O’Hargan Smith Brown, 94 of Bradford, PA

Veronica M. O’Hargan Smith Brown, 94 of Bradford, PA, passed away on Tuesday, January 8, 2013 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

She was born on July 19, 1918 in Greenwood, NY a daughter of the late Thomas and Ruth McCormack O’Hargan.

In 1946 in the St. Bernard Catholic church, she married Quinton A. Smith, who preceded her in death in January, 1979.

She was a graduate of the Andover High School, Andover, NY.

She was a member of the St. Bernard Catholic Church where she had formerly been a member of the choir. In her free time she loved to sing and listen to music.

She was employed by Zippo Manufacturing Co. for thirty one years as a secretary; retiring in August 1985.

She is survived by one son, Brian (Marlaine) Smith, Boca Raton, FL, three daughters, Charlene (David) Wilson, Sausalito, CA, Shelly Fields, Mary Kim (Stephen) Stauffer, all of Lakewood, CO, eleven grandchildren, six great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was also preceded in death by one son, Jeff Smith, two brothers and one sister.

At the family’s request there will be no visitation. A private memorial service will be held in Colorado at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are entrusted to the care of the Mascho Funeral Home, Inc.

Memorial contributions in her memory can be made to a charity of the donor’s choice.
