Wow! I never really read the directions on my insulin pen before, I got them out. In the instruction leaflet, it states"This pen is only for your use.Do not share it with anyone else." It does not say that anywhere on the actual insulin pen. Just because nothing is supposed to go back into the pen, doesn't mean it won't.My questions would also include, were those patients charged for the full (300 units, if it was Lantus) pen???

I would sue this hospital!!

Reuse may have occured but the hospital has not identified a single patient who ever received an injection from another paitent's insulin pen. How stupid do you think we are? Ok, so you haven't identified a "single" patient...how MANY have you identified??? This would be a non-issue unless there were indications in the charts that this happened or people (not just "a person" complained/became aware of the problem. Absolutely pathetic, irresponsible, negligent, and downright scary!!!!

there you go.....sue the hospital. Thanks for making my health insurance go up again. Why do idiots think a lawsuit is the answer to every little thing. You are probably the type of person that would sue mcdonalds because they made you fat.
