American Red Cross McKean-Potter Chapter to Offer Vital Lifesaving Training this Month

Organization Urges Residents to Learn Skills that Can Save a Life

BRADFORD, Pa. – Each year, more than 5 million people learn how to save a life by enrolling in American Red Cross preparedness courses. In February, the organization encourages residents in McKean and Potter Counties to join the ranks of these everyday heroes by taking a class now.

From the professional first-responder to the local pool’s lifeguard to the trusted community babysitter, the Red Cross equips individuals across the country with lifesaving skills to act quickly in dire circumstances. Red Cross courses aim to teach people how to prevent and respond in life-threatening emergencies, whether at the workplace or in the home.

The following classes will be offered in Bradford this month. The courses will be held at the Red Cross office, located at 302 Congress Street in Bradford.

• Wednesday, Feb. 13; 6 to 9:30 p.m.; AND Thursday, Feb. 14; 6 to 9:30 p.m.; Adult and Pediatric First Aid/CPR/AED; $110

• Wednesday, Feb. 13; 6 to 9:30 p.m.; Adult CPR/AED; $70

In addition to area residents, businesses, organizations and community groups can register for private instruction from the Red Cross. To register for a nearby individual class or private group instruction, call 1-800-RED-CROSS or visit RedCross.org.
