Animal Care Sanctuary Hosting
Wellsboro, PA – The Animal Care Sanctuary (ACS) is having Volunteer Orientation Training, March 13th from 5 pm to 6 pm. “We encourage anyone who wishes to learn about shelter animals’ care and well being to attend this seminar, “says ACS Wellsboro Director, Wendy Reber. “We appreciate all our volunteers and thank them for continually helping us perpetuate our mission on behalf of all animals.”
“It’s important for our shelter animals to gain visibility and exposure so we may find them forever, loving homes. The Volunteer Orientation educates the public as to what animals reside here and why, and teaches people the particular care we give each and every one. Our low cost spay/neuter, and vet services provided through our Community Care Clinic, plus our grooming services are just several avenues that can provide revenue for our shelter animals. All proceeds from the clinic, our groom room, as well as adoptions go right back to benefit the shelter animals. ACS oversees their well-being, and assures they have a good quality of life while they are in our care. Each animal is one of our own that we love, and we want to extend that feeling through community outreach to all local animal lovers, and without volunteers to help us, we could not sustain the facility here in Wellsboro, “said Joan Smith-Reese, executive director for ACS.
Everyone is encouraged to attend the Volunteer Orientation/Training session at ACS, 11765 Route 6, Wellsboro, PA on March 13th from 5 pm to 6 pm. Students under 16 years of age need to be accompanied by an adult. Volunteer applications can be filled out online at www.animalcaresanctuary.org
