Bath Salts Blamed For Violent Behavior
Dansville Cop Injured During Domestic
On February 10, 2013 at approximately 2:15 AM the New York State Police, Dansville Police Department and Livingston County Sheriff's Office were dispatched to a 15 year old out of control in a vehicle parked at the truck stop off Exit 5 on Interstate 390 in Dansville, NY.
When the Dansville Police arrived, they observed a male juvenile biting and striking a female which was his Aunt.
In an attempt to remove the juvenile from the vehicle, a Dansville Police Officer was punched in the head and suffered a concussion. The 15 year old juvenile was eventually removed from the vehicle and transported to Noyes Hospital by Dansville Ambulance for evaluation. The Aunt was also taken to Noyes Hospital for treatment.
It was determined the 15 year old had taken bath salts which was the cause of the violent behavior. The Dansville Police Officer was treated at Highland Hospital and released. The investigation is continuing and charges are pending.
