Charles L. Mortimer, 90, formerly of Bolivar Dr. Bradford, PA

Charles L. Mortimer, 90, formerly of Bolivar Dr. Bradford, PA, passed away, Tuesday, February 19, 2013 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh.

Born June 12, 1922 in Corry, he was a son of the late Charles and Flossie (Howard) Mortimer. He attended Bradford schools.

He was a veteran of the United States Navy and served with the Sea Bees during WWII.

On August 22, 1945 in Bradford he married Lois E. (Smith) Mortimer, who died on July 10, 1989.

He worked as the Area Plant and Services Supervisor at Columbia Gas for over 44 years. After he retired he moved to Florida and worked at Walt Disney as a host and greeter for 17 years.

He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bradford and served on every committee and board, he was a member and former President Kiwanis Club.

Surviving is one son, Samuel Mortimer, and his wife Vicki Mortimer, one grandson Nathan Mortimer, two granddaughters Rachelle Mortimer and Ashleigh Mortimer, all of Pittsburgh.

Family will be receiving friends on Saturday, February 23, 2013 from Noon to 1:00pm in the First Baptist Church, at 1:00pm funeral and committal services will be held with Rev. Leon Canfield, pastor, officiating. Burial will be in Willow Dale Cemetery. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Hollenbeck-Cahill Funeral Homes Inc.

Memorials, if desired, may be made to the First Baptist Church or a charity of the donors choice.
