Connecting Galeton With Cherry Springs State Park

A
committee has been assembled to build a stronger connection between
Galeton Borough and Cherry Springs State Park/Dark Sky Preserve. Members include Chip Harrison, David Brooks, Terri Dennison, Maxine Harrison, Teri Batterson, Cindy Pflug, Audrey Patterson and Sarah Dippold.
Members are identifying potential partners and stakeholders who might be interested in participating. Some broad goals have been established, including public education to raise awareness of local attractions, encouraging protection of the dark sky as a treasured resource, partnerships with local businesses and state agencies, infrastructure improvements, and development of a unified message and branding.
