A Warren driver fled the scene of a one vehicle crash early Sunday morning on US Route 6, West of Hamilton Road, in Hamilton Township, McKean County.
Michael J. Manderfeld, 44, of Warren, PA, was traveling westbound on Route 6 at 1:30 AM when he lost control of his 2008 Toyota Tundra, left the roadway along the northern berm and then traveled down an embankment before striking a large tree head on. Trooper Roger McCloskey said Manderfeld was injured but the severity was unknown. The investigation is ongoing. Manderfeld has been charged with (not) Driving Vehicle At Safe Speed.
The Toyota had major damage to the front end of the vehicle and was towed from the scene by Buzard's Towing.

so the guy went over the bank an was injury got himself out of the car so someone could help him and he's considered to have Fled.. how bout it was he just to stay there an die.. I think fleeing the scene wasn't what he was doing just trying to seek help would of been a better way to say it. Not everyone is a criminal.
What kind of crazy charge is this?
"Manderfeld has been charged with Driving Vehicle At Safe Speed."
If your are injured,, or your vehicle can not be driven from the scene,, you are required to report the crash to police a.s.a.p. Not go home and go to bed(unk if that happened here), leaving ems to comb the area for a possible injured person.
Thems are the rules.
